Our local Emergency services were kept busy with accident reports the past weekend, fortunately nothing to serious was reported.
On Friday a crash collission with a bakkie and light motor vehicle on the N2 near Mkholombe. Emergency services received the call at 16h00 on arrival at the scene they came upon the vehicles that had been in a side-on collision. One of the drivers was injured, he was treated and transported to hospital by Ambulance.
On Saturday evening a pedestrian sustained minor injuries after being hit by a car in Merlewood. On the same day their was a separate crash at Confusion Junction in Port Shepstone with another person sustaining minor injuries.Emergency services responded to an accident on the R102, Umzumbe on Sunday at 17:00, fortunately no injuries were reported from this incident.
Early Monday morning proved to be a busy one with a crash between a taxi and a bus on the N2 in Murchison just before 07:00. Just after that reports of another crash came in at the Izotsha Robots. While emergency services were busy clearing that scene another call was received for a crash on the N2, Boboyi. Two patients with moderate injuries were transported to a nearby hospital by Ambulance. Fortunately we never experienced any fatalaties over the period.
