As you drive into Uvongo on Marine Drive stands one of the most outstanding restaurants on the Hibiscus Coast.
If you are a fan of outstanding service of quality food then you want to stop here and sample the menu. Breakers is a package beyond compare in the restaurant industry on the Hibiscus Coast. The standard of service is comparable with the top restaurants in Cape Town and the food is so heavenly and fresh that you will find it difficult to want to eat elsewhere.
Husband and wife team, Simon and Tami Haupt took over Breakers in December 2005. At that time Breakers was relatively unknown and not particularly flourishing. The exact opposite can be said for Breakers these days. In fact, Breakers is so phenomenal that the same staff have worked there since the culmination of Simon and Tami’s ownership.
There is an atmosphere there that is difficult to put into words. The staff that work there are more like a family, but a professional family where you, as the client, become part of their circle and are treated like royalty.
Their knowledge of the menu and drinks is outstanding and you will often find that your drink has been refilled before you noticed that it was finished.
They have an extensive (yet not overbearing) menu that offers everything from steak to calamari, so tasty you will keep coming back for more. Everything is fresh and delicious as Simon takes care over each item on the menu and is constantly working his way to ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
The best feature about Breakers is that without deterring from exceptional service, incredible food and of course, an extensive wine list, Breakers is a family orientated restaurant with an outside area for the little ones to keep amused. Yet even with the kid play area, there is a lovely inside setting that caters towards the most romantic of couples.
You would be hard pressed to find a night where there are no cars in the ample parking bays and in high season you may have to ensure that you partake in a cocktail or two whilst waiting for a table to open up.
We look forward to welcoming you into the embrace of the Breakers family.
We also cater for functions and you can go to our contact page to get more information.
