Case against Dubai bound man caught with R10m postponed

JOHANNESBURG – The case against a man arrested with two suitcases full of money at Cape Town International Airport has been postponed to next week.

38-year-old Mohammed Ameen was found with US dollars and South African rand, valued at over R10-million rand.

He appeared in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court.

Ameen is a car dealership owner from Westville, Durban.

He flew from Pietermaritzburg to Cape Town on Wednesday and was allegedly on his way to Dubai.

The state said it needs more time to investigate the matter.
