Media Release from: KZN PRIVATE AMBULANCE
Paramedics from Kwazulu Private Ambulance were called to a single vehicle crash on Tuesday evening just after 20:00.
Paramedics arrived at the horrific scene on the Seaslopes road leading towards Margate.
The driver had stopped breathing and had no pulse. An off duty medic and firefighter started CPR and the man started breathing on his own again. Kwazulu Private Ambulance paramedics took over from them, stabilised the patient and transported him to a nearby hospital.
He was later transferred in a critical condition to a hospital in Durban for further treatment.
The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated.
