JOHANNESBURG – A 38-year-old South African citizen was arrested on Wednesday, at the Cape Town International Airport after he was found with two suitcases filled with money valued at over R10 million, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, better known as the Hawks, said.

Ramovha said the money was in South African and foreign currency.

“Obviously our probe in this will be to determine the trail and origin of the money. We cannot rule out unearthing illicit activities as we go along.”
