Former Sotheby CEO’s murder trial posponed

JOHANNESBURG – The murder trial of Sotheby’s International Realty CEO, Jason Rohde has been postponed.

This is to allow the state and defence to iron out issues around Rohde’s lawyers’ request for further particulars.

The two parties are also expected to discuss the sequence of 200 photographs, the state intends to present in court.

This relates to the testimony of pathologist, Dr Akmal Coetzee-Khan.

Earlier, the court granted a request to relax Rohde’s bail conditions for the duration of his trial.

Instead of reporting to a local police station daily, Rohde will only report on Fridays, when there are no criminal trial sittings at the Western Cape High Court.
