Jamie’s Easy Slow-cooked Beef Stew

Jamie makes this beautiful beef stew using oxtail for an amazing on-the-bone flavour. Then he takes it three different ways – with pasta, on Mash and as a soup. Amazingly versatile and incredibly tasty. You can make it on the hob or in a slow cooker too.

What do you put in your stew? Any family tips you can share with the Food Tube Family? Let us know in the comments below.

years ago a flatmate suggested making oxtail stew, when I told him it was too expensive he laughed and quoted 6$ a kilo I replied that meat was only 25% of oxtail making the meat 24$ a kilo twice that of sirloin steak, the other flatmates looked at me with dawning comprehension about the about the real cost of the so-called "cheap meat"always cost it out
