Smartie Pants Montessori is a private Montessori pre-school situated in Umtentweni (near Port Shepstone).
We believe in children's individual abilities, and we strive to nurture these.
Our school operates and follows the educational approach developed by Italian physician and educator Dr. Maria Montessori (1897). She understood that each child is an individual with different abilities and interests. Instead of seeing the class as a whole, she allowed each child to explore and develop at their own pace, observing them, and guiding them through their learning experience.
