At Young Engineers we aim to teach pupils grade 1 - 7 basic engineering concepts using LEGO.
We teach pupils about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM-subjects) on a basic level.
During a Young Engineers sessions, pupils can expect to learn about different subjects which include: - Natural forces such as gravity, centrifugal and centripetal forces. - Energies such as elastic, potential and kinetic energy. - Belt, gear and chain transmissions. - Speed and Power increasing and decreasing transmissions - Lever Principle and Lift Force - Newton, Archimedes, Da Vinci and more...
Young Engineers sessions typically run for 75 minutes, broken down as follow: 15 minutes: Theoretical lesson 40 minutes: Building LEGO model which incorporates the theory learned 10 minutes: Playing with and enhancing model 10 minutes: Pack up and tidy up
