Makhosi Khoza clarifies political party plans in lecture

JOHANNESBURG – Outspoken former ANC MP Makhosi Khoza delivered a fiery Helen Joseph memorial lecture reiterating that the ANC is beyond repair. The former chairperson of Parliament’s standing committee on public service and administration delivered an explosive Helen Joseph lecture at the University of Johannesburg.

In her speech, Khoza accused the ANC of betraying the people of South Africa by becoming defined by corruption and nepotism.

She has called on the younger generation to build a future without the party.

“There is no leader that can emerge from the ANC elective conference without signing a pact with the devil.”

“Patronage and nepotism has become to the new moral conscience of the ANC. Its the norm to help yourself to the public purse.”

She admits to thinking that the party would regulate itself. But, the former ANC MP says that South Africans must consider their options ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Khoza says she will not be forming a political party.

“To our youth and woman: The future of this country and the moral leadership you want is in your hands. Come 2019 save South Africa”, she chanted.

She had been previously charged for bringing the party into disrepute.

Khoza has been a vocal critic of the party’s current leadership, especially President Jacob Zuma, and had publicly called for him to step down before the motion of no confidence against him was held via secret ballot in August.
