Oven-Baked Chicken Wings 4 Ways
Serves 1-2

Baked Chicken Wings

INGREDIENTS

1½ pounds chicken wings
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

PREPARATION

1. Preheat oven to 250˚F/130˚C.
2. Place wings in a large bowl and pat dry.
3. Add the baking powder and salt to the wings. Stir to coat.
4. Spray a baking rack with nonstick cooking spray and place on top of a foiled sheet pan. Distribute wings evenly on top, making sure none of them touch and they are all face-up.
5. Bake for 35 minutes, then increase the temperature to 425˚F/220˚C and bake for an additional 45 minutes, or until wings are crisp and golden. (Do not remove the wings from the oven when increasing temperature.)
6. Remove from oven and toss wings in your favorite sauce.
7. Enjoy!

Cajun BBQ Sauce

INGREDIENTS

¾ cup BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning/spice mix
1½ pounds baked chicken wings

PREPARATION

1. Combine BBQ sauce and Cajun seasoning in a hot pan. Bring to a boil and add wings.
2. Stir to coat the wings.
3. Enjoy!

Lemon Pepper Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
1½ pounds baked chicken wings

PREPARATION

1. In a hot pan, melt butter.
2. Add lemon juice, pepper, and salt. Stir until combined.
3. Add wings and stir to coat.
4. Enjoy!

Garlic Herb Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
2 tablespoons dried Italian herb blend
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1½ pounds baked chicken wings

PREPARATION

1. In a hot pan, melt butter.
2. Add garlic and stir. Cook for 30 seconds, being careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in Italian herb blend and salt. Cook for an additional 20 seconds.
4. Add in fresh parsley and wings. Stir to coat.
5. Enjoy!

Teriyaki Sauce

INGREDIENTS

½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1½ pounds baked chicken wings

PREPARATION

1. In a hot pan, bring soy sauce to a boil.
2. Stir in brown sugar and honey.
3. Add in sesame seeds and stir until slightly thickened and bubbling.
4. Add wings and stir to coat.
5. Enjoy!

  1. Can you still get crispy chicken wings if you don't put baking powder on them? Like, I'd just rather set it and forget it.

  2. 35 minutes n then 45 minutes that poor wing will be wing jerky ru sure about the timing?did anyone baked it for that long?or did i read it wrong?

  3. The "teriyaki" wing sauce is absolutely terrible. I just tried it today and they tasted like shit. I even added in 2 teaspoons of ginger and the soy sauce flavor conquered all…

  4. You need to trash wings, its a technique where you put them back in the oven for a short amount of time to make them more crispy, or you can put them over smoke for a little bit if you are smoking them.
