POP members detached from Durban to assist UGU Cluster stations with crime prevention operations as well as intelligence driven operations were also out in full force over the weekend. During these operations, the following successes were achieved;
Fourteen people were charged for small quantities of cannabis and they paid admission of guilt fines. A total of 48,035grams of cannabis was seized. Eight people were charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and thirteen knives were confiscated.
Six people were charged with dealing in liquor without a license and 144 bottles of liquor were confiscated. One person was also charged with drunken driving and 11 for loitering.
