Luvuyo Njabulo Swana (24) appeared in the Scottburgh Regional Court on Tuesday, 4 July where he was convicted of robbery with aggravating circumstances and sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
On the 20th August 2016 Swana, armed with a bottle in his hand approached a Park-Rynie business woman as she was in her eatery Convant Road, attacked her, bit her on her arm and demanded her Samsung galaxy cellphone.
The Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kishore Giani, commended Detective Constable Khamisa on the excellent investigation of the case and the resulting conviction and sentencing of the accused.
