CAPE TOWN – Visitors and staff were evacuated from the Twelve Apostles hotel on Thursday night, as a fire flared up in the Oudekraal area, fanned by strong winds.
City of Cape Town officials said the evacuation was a precautionary measure.
Guests were taken by shuttle to Llandudno and no injuries were immediately reported.
Firefighters were battling the blaze, made harder by the strong winds.
