A few days ago, we shared the story about a Hibiscus Coast Seconds Member who chased and caught a man suspected of breaking into his house.
It turns out that the man is wanted by the Port Shepstone Detective Branch as he may be able to assist into investigations into housebreaking. According to SAPS documentation, he was wanted for questioning after being linked to a housebreaking incident by his fingerprints.
Well done to Port Shepstone Detectives for connecting the cases and for all your hard work in keeping us safe.
Whilst we would always recommend that civilians call the SAPS and their security company, rather than try and arrest a suspect themselves, we can understand the prevailing sentiment to crime is such that sometimes one just has to act. So well done to the homeowner on getting this suspected criminal closer to a court, so that he can answer to his accusations. read original article
